Enchanting Cavaliers offers contract stud services for AKC registered Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Our boys are DNA tested clear for breed-specific conditions, current on vaccinations, closely followed for health, and capable, gentle studs.

Responsible by requirement

We only enter a stud agreement where the female is an AKC registered Cavalier of breeding age as recommended by the AKC, with current vaccinations and documented testing.

A proven record

Toby has sired seven litters, Ruger five, and Brodie four, with Remy ready for his first mating. Collectively the boys hold a 100% rate of matings that conceived and whelped healthy puppies.

A written stud contract covers fees, care, timing, registration, and the return service, so both households know exactly what has been agreed.

He has proven himself on multiple litters producing beautiful, well-balanced puppies. Nicknamed “lizard,” he is obsessed with showing his affection with kisses. He is a beautiful ruby male that enjoys running or just laying down to rest on your lap or next to you.

Requirements

What we need from your dam

These protect both dogs and give the litter the best possible start.

The dam must be an AKC registered Cavalier King Charles Spaniel of breeding age per AKC recommendations.
Copies of AKC registration, a three-generation pedigree, and DNA testing results at contract signing.
Current vaccinations with a veterinarian health summary provided 10 days before the planned breeding.
Proof of a clear vaginal culture, done far enough in advance to allow treatment before mating.
The dam arrives in good health, free of infection and parasites, and actively in heat.
Additional laboratory testing on both the sire and the dam may be required before the service date.

How it works

From first message to whelping day

1. Send your inquiry
Complete the form below with your dam's details, registration, and health testing. We review every request personally.
2. Confirm the match
If the pairing suits both dogs for health, type, color, and temperament, we choose the stud and reserve dates.
3. Sign the contract
We exchange pedigrees, testing, and the signed stud contract before mating.
4. Breeding week
Your girl stays with us and is bred two to four times around her optimal window, cared for as one of our own.
5. Whelping and beyond
We stay available through pregnancy, whelping, and puppy raising, and sign the AKC litter registration once the breeding agreement is complete.

Contract terms

What each side agrees to

A summary of our 2026 stud contract. The full agreement is provided before signing.

We agree to

Provide at least a three-generation pedigree of the stud, with a copy for the dam's owner.
Share documentation of health testing and clearances performed on the stud on request.
Care for the dam in our home while she is with us, with owner notification for any medical care.
Sign the AKC litter registration once the breeding agreement is complete.
Breed the pair two to four times to give the mating every chance of success.
Offer a free repeat service on her next cycle if the dam does not conceive.

The dam's owner agrees to

Confirm the breeding agreement before the dam is serviced.
Provide a three-generation pedigree and any requested health testing documentation.
Handle progesterone testing and timing so the mating window is right.
Confine and care for the dam after breeding so no other male can breed her.
Notify us in writing within 70 days if the mating did not result in pregnancy.
Share the names and addresses of the new owners of the resulting puppies.

Other considerations

No puppy from the mating may knowingly be sold to a broker, pet store, or anyone reselling dogs, in the U.S. or abroad.
All puppies sired by our studs are sold on AKC Limited Registration or as companions; full registration requires written approval from the stud owners.
If artificial insemination is requested, the dam's owner is responsible for all associated arrangements and must state this before signing.
If the chosen stud is unavailable, or the dam declines him, the dam's owner may select another Enchanting Cavaliers stud.
Litter registration papers are signed once the breeding agreement is complete.
